The piece pushes the technical and expressive limits of the instrument, demanding exceptional control, endurance, and precision. Rapid passages, wide intervals, extreme registers, and complex articulations make this work particularly challenging. The piano part is fully integrated and engages in an intense musical dialogue with the soloist. Brilliant, powerful, and uncompromising, 016 Fantasy is intended for advanced performers and offers the audience an impressive display of modern trumpet virtuosity.”

I'm thrilled that Editions BIM and Editions Marc Reift have published my piece "016 Fantasy" for trumpet and piano. I wrote it to push myself to the very edges of my technique, as well as to challenge myself musically. However, for those of you who know this piece: this is a slightly shorter/less demanding version (no circular breathing required!), created for performance by Robbie Collins at the 2024 National Trumpet Competition. Thereafter, Robbie recorded the work.
